It's strange how Mantras shows revolve around a series of random birthdays...

Big thanks to all the Groverfest family.  The bands were awesome and there were some of my best friends out there at one point or another.  Nice chilling with all of you. It was awesome seeing friends from all over NC, who I rarely get to see, hanging out together.  Big thanks to everyone who helped out.. esp. Joey.. dude you were awesome!  The Mantras peeled my face Friday.  Hate it was so late but the hour 45 they gave us sounded amazing from anywhere on the plateau.  I had to trick my body into getting sleep so I laid down as soon as I could pack up my gear and hit the van, before sun could be seen.  Haha I'm a vampire.   Gravy, From A Seed, Matter of Fact, Sticky Rhythm, and Zegg were standouts for me.  The Duk Tan was really good also.  With the exception of only a few bands I thought we got a lot of really great music. I guess Waylon flew in from California right before Duk Tan went on... PRO!

There was def. a Friday crowd and a Sat. crowd, which was kind of cool.  To say Sat was fun would be an understatement but too bad Kinetic didn't get their whole set in.  I hope that girl is alright. Maybe a few lessons were learned.  Candy and I had a blast with everyone and can't wait to hear everything recorded.  When?  Not sure.

Candy and I will probably not be doing much away from Charlotte until The Get Down... volunteers are needed.  That one looks to be....  Thumbs Up
