I saw that Split Lip Rayfield (high-energy, bluegrassy) is opening for Donna and although I've never seen them live, I've always wanted to check out the bass player on his modified gas tank bass.  I would post a pic of it here, but I seem to be computer challenged today.  Here is a link to a Dec 08 article on Jambase with pics instead:

If it wasn't for Donna the Buffalo and their involvement in The Great Blue Heron music festival I wouldn't be where I am today, that's for sure. Right around the time I was getting out of high school I was big into them.. From my accounts and a little help from donnabase.com I figure tonight will be my 67th Donna the Buffalo show. If you count things like "Buffalo Zydeco"  a late night thing they do with the Franks at Blue Heron and Grassroots sometimes that total is closer to 80.

Unusual Donna show... very jammy w/o her vocals. Donna NEVER ceases to turn relatively normal people into a herd of dancing fools. Split LIp Rayfield was a blast too... Long live the Neighborhood
