Apparently aware that jamband cliches were already beaten to death 10 years ago, Umphrey's McGee takes the genre's tired conventions and turns them on their ear. The band starts with progressive and heavy rock influences such as King Crimson and Dixie Dregs and crosses over into a zone we haven't yet classified. Not unlike their contemporaries moe., Umphrey's isn't afraid to craft actual songs -- adventurous and innovative but also catchy, engaging, and sometimes even concise.

Can anyone confirm that the opening band will contain Joel, Kofi, and Chuck Garvey?

Turns out I'll be playing bass with Bon and the opening act, and I hope for some killer sit ins as well!  I hear there might be.

So.....if anyone is there with a camera.......I'm asking pretty please.......

Who might the opener be? Incognito Mosquito last um-neighborhood show was really good, even though i only caught the end of their set.

Never mind, I didn't read all of the other posts. I know who the opener is now. Noob is my ranking for a reason...

Hey Leo, thanks for everything.  And by the way, you looked and sounded great!  Hope you have a chance to play with those guys again sometime soon.
