<![CDATA[<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/rqmsHY0tdd0&rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/rqmsHY0tdd0&rel=0</a>]]>Born in San Mateo, CA, in 1969, blues guitarist and singer Eric Lindell spent much of his youth living in nearby Santa Rosa and Forestville, and going to San Francisco as much as he could to check out the music scene. Working as a baker by day so he could work as a musician by night, Lindell honed his chops playing in bars around Sonoma County. In 1996 he produced his debut album, Bring It Back, on Flying Harold Records, and in 1999 he won the John Lennon Songwriting Competition with his piece "Kelly Ann." That same year he decided to move to New Orleans to try his success there It was a good decision, and Lindell soon hooked up with Galactic's Stanton Moore and begin playing around town, frequently having drummers Johnny Vidocovich and Harold Brown (from War) sit in. In 2002 Lindell issued his self-released, self-titled record, but 2003 saw him move to Sparco Records, where he issued Piety Street Session and EP Volume 1. In 2005 Tragic Magic came out, which was enough to finally spark serious interest from Alligator Records, who released Change in the Weather in 2006 and Low on Cash, Rich in Love in 2008
