I'm a little surprised no one's been talking about this show.  I've heard nothing but great things about New Deal, though I haven't seen them yet.  Incog has been improving exponentially of late and Bill's been slowly building something extremely solid o'er the past 3 or 4 years.

Wednesday's are sometimes tough to swing, I understand, but please chime in if you would...I really think the radars should be up on this one.

THANK YOU for posting that... I agree 100% and to be honest get tired of posting about great shows with no response.

I agree with you on all three points. I've missed out on The New Deal a few times now and have kicked myself form one side of the house ot the next each time I've read a review or posts on other boards

Mindelixir... making big waves as of late.

Incog... here's a leak for some of you. Did you guys know that while in the studio they've been collaborating with Mindelixir with Chris Mitchell behind the console? We only got a small taste, at the Getdown and Stockin' Stomp, of the direction Incog is going. I've never heard the Incog guys so excited about their music and got sneak peak (listen) of one of the tracks for the upcoming album. I liked it... very very much. So as not to appear to be fluffing IM I'll just leave it at that. I liked it very, very much :)

As of late I've had to back off on the weeknight shows but there is no way I'll miss this show, not unless I'm struck by lightning or land in jail. Even if I were to (god forbid) go deaf before the show I'll be there... up front leaning against the subs.

I think the first time I saw the New Deal was about 12 years ago (really 1998 was 12 years ago...f*$% me) If there is one band that can be considered the grand daddy of post rave, live electronic music it would be these guys. They have been doing the live D&B thing longer than anyone and do it better than most. Most electronica bands would not exist had the New Deal not came out of Toronto, caught the ear of Herby Hancock and did a world tour with him....
