John Live Music Society (a nonexistent, rogue promotion organization that is happy to duke it out with CLMS in a West Side Story knife fight style at any chosen deserted alley...) is happy to announce that Neighbors' Acres will be playing the Double Door Inn on Friday, December 12 with special guests Woody Wood (The Blue Rags/Hollywood Red) and Tony Black (Hollywood Red/Buckethead).  It's gonna be in your face bluegrass ass-kickin'.  As the revered and retired Col. Bruce might say, it will be enough to make you vomit to your hearts content.  What else could you ask for?  There will be vomit everywhere...  and lord knows we haven't vomited in years.  At least, not like we used to...

If CLMS would like to adopt this show as a pet project, I would be happy to sell the rights for a smile and well, another smile accompanied by a hearty Thanks!!  With the economy the way it is right now, that's one hell of a deal.  DO IT!!!!

There isn't much that is more refreshing than a new band that uses their music to celebrate the traditions of their past while adapting them into an exploration of contemporary and progressive styles. Neighbors' Acres is one of those refreshing new bands. Neighbors' Acres is a seven piece outfit soaked in bluegrass standards and flavored with just about any other style you can imagine. Their arsenal of covers can range from traditional rollicking bluegrass numbers, funky r&b tunes (ala Morris day and Outkast, etc.), the southern blues rock drive of bands such as the Allman Brothers or John Hiatt, or even the rare spot-on Elvis Costello crowd pleaser that drops in out of left field. Either way, this extensive catalog teams up quite well with a list of originals that are even more impressive. There will never be any lack of diverse music that is guaranteed to please a crowd that is just as diverse.

Oh not a doubt about this one.  I know for a fact that she wouldn't miss this teamup if her life depended on it.
