DOWNLOADS - Can I download any show?

We make a best effort attempt to record and archive as many CLMS productions, as well as events supported by the CLMS.  All shows available for download took place in the Carolinas. If we're unable to record a show or festival ourselves, we rely on original copies from the artsits/bands or original taper/archivst... and with permission only. 

Downloads are located in the Music Archive.  From time to time we restrict access to these downloads to only registered members. Choose the 'Register' link to change your account status from Guest to Regular Member if you wish to download from our site. 

Live concert downloads are available in high quality MP3 VBR format, play nicely with both Windows and Mac, mobile devices, upload quickly, download quickly, and is in our opinion the best option for high quality music at the CLMS Archive.  LOSSLESS like FLAC or AU is available to Artists/Bands and Tapers ONLY.  We also provide a link (when available) to a m3u file that allows you to preview/stream the recording through your media player.

As we are all volunteers, please be patient for a show to be made available for download... While you anxiously await, trust that we are busy gathering accurate setlists, getting artist permission, post processing, and uploading onto our site. 

Please take the time to give thanks for the download.  We ask that you revisit our site after your first listen to leave a comment.... constructive criticism only.  The bands, venues, and tapers love reading your comments...

** If you're asking about a show for download in less than 7-14 days, be prepared for a stern warning.  Repeated impatient inquiries is rewarded with accounts being spanked and/or banned from downloading.

We wanted to remind our newest members that we appreciate your inquiries about shows you would like to have avaialble in our Music Archive, however please do not PM our administrators requesting a show be added. Please start a thread in Music Archive. If there's enough demand for the show we'll try to add it to the archive. We've tried to keep up with requests but answering all of the PMs has become a monumental task.

If we have the source files (in other words one of us taped the show) rest assured that we'll make it available when we receive artist permission and as time allows. If we're spending valuable time answering PMs would it not be better if we spend that time uploading shows? Think about it

Don't get us wrong, we certainly want to know what shows you're interested in having in our archive so please or post to the thread we've set up for this purpose. Search "ARCHIVE REQUEST"
