From the foothills of Appalachia (and our very own backyard) a new musical combo has appeared; grown from seeds of the folk, blues, and bluegrass found abundant in the Carolinas, yet shaped by the undeniable power of rock and roll. Absolutely need to make this one the first out w/o Guthry.  BTW I spoke with Josh and Guthry @ Laura Reed and they are all cool with each other and the band.  They only wish the best for each other.  Guthry said he was going back to his roots and his heart.  Both are great human beings as well as the rest of the band. Defiantly go see this show.

for those who can't make the friday night charlotte show, the new familiars will also be @ the blind tiger in greensboro the night before on 4/9/09.

no strings attached is opening.  they are a killer bluegrass band from raleigh made up of hank smith (barefoot manner, kickin' grass band, fernandina, monkey navigated robots), leo kishore (barefoot manner, funkuponya, monkey navigated robots), jamie dawson (kickin' grass band), lin peterson (old habits) and hank bowman (flat mountain boys).

Thanks for letting us know about the 'boro date...  I've never seen them at the Tiger... bet they sound amazing in that room.

btw The New Familiars are still top in our poll for "Who deserves the next fan board?"  This makes me very happy.

leedle my man what's up???  Can we expect a schwilly lee or the reserved lee?  Mrs. coming out to kick up the dust with us?  Call me when you get a chance.  Got some 411 you'll want.
